Since Ahmed Sahin last CD (Sufi Breaths) on Sparrow Records back in 1995, I have felt a massive void in my life. This compilation contains all of the biggest hits by Ahmed Sahin. I am not a real Folk music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Sufi Breaths’ really is amazing. Lots of variety between tracks. My favorite is Taksim (Improvisations)
This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on Sufi Breaths. In Bestenigar pesrev Ahmed Sahin is at his best. Evcara Taksim is the most memorable and marvelous. Evcara Saz Semaisi gives good insight into the truths. In Devran it becomes nowhere more obvious that Ahmed Sahin has yet to define own style. I can’t stop humming along Taksim (Improvisations). I like the idea behind Karcigar Nefes.
