This is the first studio album from Alternative - Various Artists since bad diagnosis in 1996. For older fans Alternative boogie - 1948-1952 cd 2 will put a massive smile accross your face. Since Alternative - Various Artists last CD (Alternative boogie - 1948-1952 cd 2) on Savoy Records back in 1996, I have felt a massive void in my life. Alternative - Various Artists is one of my favourite bands of all time.
This track is a fabulous selection of easy listening, suitable for any age, taste or occasion. I Rule My Den - This one has a powerful beat and a good melody. Once you hear The Great Disaster Of 1936, you will listen to it over and over. Overall a nice softer song. I have all of Alternative - Various Artists’s tracks and She Quit Me is probably the most his introspective effort. How Long Can This Go On is filled with very deep emotions that will truly touch your heart. This track is full of harmonies and gets Alternative boogie - 1948-1952 cd 2 off to a relaxing start. A fantastic track full of wonder. The sound in Me and A Woman is really warm and Alternative - Various Artists’s signature voice is still very much present. I now have Throw My Money Around as one of my personal favorites. Well I Got To Leave great lyrics, dark, deep, angry and cool.I like I Gotta Be Comin’ Back because it’s extremely catchy and has awesome drumming. I Don’t Be Welcome Here is a striking and quite long song. Two Voice Original Mood is astounding and different song. Three Voice Original Mood sets the tone for the entire album. Johnny Says Come Back has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. After about the third The Story Of A Married Woman listen through, I began to believe this song is Alternative - Various Artists’s essence. Snap Them Fingers Boogie - This one makes me want to not only sing along.
