It has been four years And One’ last studio CD, “Spot” which won Array MTV Music Awards and was nominated for album of the year. Spot isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. I am not a real Alternative music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Spot’ really is amazing. This is the best album I have heard in a long time
Strong, powerful vocals of And One in Life Isn’t Easy In Germany are very impressive. One listen to the sheer beauty of Consequence Of Time was all I needed. Get Spot and turn on Spontanverkehr if you are going to sip your wine late at night. Friend Of Stars has to be one of the most beautiful tracks on the entire album. Hall Of Souls - This one has a powerful beat and a good melody. Recover You gives taste of what makes And One special as a musician. Der Erste Stein - My least favorite song on this album. In Tanz Der Arroganz it becomes nowhere more obvious that And One has yet to define own style. This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. Music and lyrics of Spot creates, for me, fertile ground for daydreaming. Wild Pain (unlisted remix) is simple, dignified and effective, And One refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more.
