Ventolin CD5 (1995) isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. On the Japan charts, superstar Aphex Twin’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. Since completing 1995’s ‘01 - Ventolin [salbutamol mix]’, Aphex Twin fulfilled their contract with Capitol Records and where under no obligation to release another album. This is the best album I have heard in a long time
02 - Ventolin [praze-an-beeble mix] is a strong cut, one of many. This track is clearly meant to showcase Aphex Twin’s vocal abilities. Aphex Twin sings his heart out in 04 - Ventolin [plain-an-gwarry mix] # [the coppice mix]. 05 - Ventolin [crowsmengegus mix] # Respect List is a good listen every once in a while.
