‘Soli Deo Gloria’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. There is no doubt that Apoptygma Berzerk has talent. This fifteen-song debut EP shows the promise that Apoptygma Berzerk has. I wish that “Soli Deo Gloria” album was instrumental.
Bitch - My least favorite song on this album. Excellent vocals and musical performances. Stitch - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites. Walk With Me has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. Overall a nice softer song. Arp (808 Edit) is a pleasing, and full of overall coherence that goes beyond other creations. Spiritual Reality (4:38) Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs. Skyscraping (Schizophreniac) is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. All Tomorrows Parties - To me, this is the best song on the Soli Deo Gloria. Apoptygma Berzerk allows each song to breathe and flourish. Ashes To Ashes’93 is one of the best records ever. Like Blood From The Beloved (Part 2) still maintains something of a specific flourish. Burnin’ Heretics (Bonus Track) is a romantic if not formulaic ditty.
