I am not a real Classical: Neo-Classical music type of person, but i have to admit ‘La Malediction D’ondine’ really is amazing. On La Malediction D’ondine album, Ataraxia have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. Ataraxia was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Ataraxia and La Malediction D’ondine together. If you want to hear real Classical: Neo-Classical, get this record now!
The opening track Sybil is very much like you would expect from other albums. Once Flora gets in your head, it will NEVER leave. When I listen to Blanche in my car when traffic ain’t going so good. Music of Annabell Lee is gentle, never overbearing. Astimelusa is nothing short of a modern masterpiece. In June you won’t find any flashy solos. |titile| is the kind of record that makes you remember why music can be so addictive. Ligeia - I like this one. Ataraxia sings Ophilie in such a comforting, confident voice that you can’t help but be moved. Ataraxia rocks harder than ever with Lucretia. Zelia (The City In The Sea) catches attention immediately, Lucrecia is a song that will not reduce you to tears but leave you thinking long after La Malediction D’ondine have ended. Ondine - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites.
