IF YOU LIKE ALL Barkin’ Bill’S SONG GO FOR IT! While no new Barkin’ Bill album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1994 tour in Europe. Jim Jones has compared writing for Barkin’ Bill’s new album to that on ‘Gotcha!’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. Overall, I would highly recommend Gotcha! CD.
Too Fine For Cryin’ - Okay, I just talked about depth. Get Gotcha! and turn on What Makes These Things Happen To Me if you are going to sip your wine late at night. Someday After Awhile is almost impossible to review. Barkin’ Bill emotions are reflected through Sufferin’ Mind. One of the songs that always stick in my mind is One Kiss because the melody in the chorus is so good. Voice and instruments in No Rollin’ Blues complement each other. I Love To Love You - To me, this is the best song on the Gotcha!. In I Got What I Wanted it becomes nowhere more obvious that Barkin’ Bill has yet to define own style. Hot Tomato is perfect and different song. Barkin’ Bill breathes new life into the music in Down the Line. Get Your Kicks is outstanding work of Barkin’ Bill. Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. This is probably my favorite song on the album.
