There is so much to love about Barney Kessel, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. This album has some very good songs like Laura and Yesterday. For older fans Yesterday will put a massive smile accross your face. If you love Barney Kessel as much as I do, then Barney Kessel Yesterday is the CD for you!
Yesterday is the most memorable and marvelous. It’s A Blue World is a good listen every once in a while. Old Devil Moon catches attention immediately, Summertime is the more seemingly obscure song on Yesterday that bear up best to repeated listening. In The Garden Of Love is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. This track makes my mind whirl and vibrate with flowing energy. One listen to the sheer beauty of Tea For Two was all I needed.
