There is so much to love about Barricada, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Barricada on ‘Esta Es Una Noche de Rock & Roll’. Barricada’s debut, ‘Los Singles’, does not fit easily into one genre. This album is in perfect progression from Barricada!
Awesome song is really all that you can say about it. Lentejuelas is, without a doubt, my favorite song, ever. I like the agression and power of Okupaci. Within the first few notes of Ple it’s perfectly clear that Barricada is living this song. Todos Mirando motivates you to get up and do something to improve your life and the life of others. I loved No Sue Hacer Contigo the first time I heard it. This track is a killer, it just grabs you instantly. Bajo Control is a song that definitely grows on you and becomes an album favorite. After you’ve listened to Animal Caliente, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate. Patinazo presents the cool mix of instruments on Los Singles. Tan Facil is perfect work of Barricada. It took me a little time but I ended up loving Correr a Ciegas. This track is just a stunning masterpiece.
