Since Barry Adamson last CD (Soul Murder) on Columbia Records back in 1993, I have felt a massive void in my life. It has been nine years Barry Adamson’ last studio CD, “Soul Murder” which won Array Academy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. Soul Murder isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. IT makes me wanna dance!
This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely. One of the songs that always stick in my mind is Violation Of Expectation because the melody in the chorus is so good. Some call Suspicion from Soul Murder as a quiet invitation of an artist to sit and listen. This track is nearly perfect if not perfect. Trance Of Hatred I just LOVE this mix! This is probably my favorite song on the album. I love the melodic melody of Reverie and to this day it makes me feel good. It’s a great pleasure to listen to Un Petit Miracle from the beginning to the end. 007 A Fantasy Bond Theme is just simply stunning. Adamson Family - I just love it. So much energy, so exciting a sound. On The Edge Of Atonement is simple, dignified and effective, Barry Adamson refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. Epilogue is simply amazing. Cold Black Preach (Bonus Track) is the best music that I have heard from anyone in any area of music. Album opener Je T’aime…Moi Non Plus (Bonus Track) is a bright, upbeat ditty. Once you hear A Perfectly Natural Union (Bonus Track), you will listen to it over and over.
