This disc has all of the essential Beck classics. Beck had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. A Western Harvest Field By Moonlight isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. I greatly enjoyed this CD.
|titile| is the kind of record that makes you remember why music can be so addictive. Blackfire Choked Our Death is possibly the best song Beck has come up. So much energy, so exciting a sound.Simple and heartfelt closing track She is All (Gimme Something To Eat) closes A Western Harvest Field By Moonlight on a high note. It’s very catchy and easy to get into which is what you want in a song. Lampshade is astounding. Beck allows each song to breathe and flourish. Mango (Vader Rocks!) is really a nice song to relax and listen too. In Feel Like a Piece of Shit (Cheetoes Time) full palet of sound is used by Beck to accentuate the presentation. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on A Western Harvest Field By Moonlight.
