As always, Bert Jansch’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again. This song stands out greatly from the others. Running From Home is a bit different from Bert Jansch stereotypical stuff. Best song on the album, love it. Needle Of Death is a striking and quite long song. The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face - A strong beat. It’s such an underrated song. Blackwater Side - This one makes me want to not only sing along. Collection couldn’t start better than with the up up-beat title track Rabbit Run. Woe Is Love My Dear is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined. This song could easily nestle itself onto the world top playlists. The Gardener is a song to enjoy for years to come. Springtime Promises - arguably the best track on Collection album. Go Your Way My Love sets the tone for the entire album. Sweet Child is the albums biggest surprise. Poison is almost impossible to review. Although Miss Heather Rosemary Sewell is very melodic it is far from sad. When I Get Home is a pleasing, and full of overall coherence that goes beyond other creations. Rosemary Lane is perfect and different song. Peregrinations on Collection is solid and easy to listen to. Bert Jansch has created something that grabs you by the heart and gets you moving. Nobody’s Bar still maintains something of a specific flourish. Bert Jansch has astounded me with this amazing track. Bert Jansch is one of artists that allow his songs like Life Depends On Love to stand on their own and be heard. Once you hear Bird Song, you will listen to it over and over.
