Bessie Smith was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Bessie Smith and Blue Spirit Blues together. Blue Spirit Blues carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. This compilation contains all of the biggest hits by Bessie Smith. To me Bessie Smith is the best band ever.
Blue Spirit Blues - For me, this is the best of the album. It’s so catchy, it’s amazing. This song stands out greatly from the others. Thinking Blues - To me, this is the best song on the Blue Spirit Blues. I love the melodic melody of Devils Gonna Get You and to this day it makes me feel good. Send Me To The Lectric Chair is a song to savor, to listen to from every angle. Lyrics of Im Wild At That Thing are precise and evocative. Youve Got To Give Me Some is simply excellent. Standing In The Rain Blues is beautiful, yet underrated track. |titile| is quite refreshing and sets the tone for what is going on in Blue Spirit Blues. This is one hell of a track. Dyin By The Hour the elegant and beautiful song on the album is hard to describe. Lock And Key is almost impossible to review. A unique and uplifting song. Take Me For A Buggy Ride is such a marvelous and optimistic song that things can get just better. I Used To Be Your Sweet Mama without a doubt is the standout song of Blue Spirit Blues. Music in Trombone Cholly is exquisite as in all tracks of Blue Spirit Blues. Alexanders Ragtime Band as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature. A Good Man Is Hard To Find is possibly the most mysterious and inexplicable track Bessie Smith ever produced.
