There is no doubt that Bill Evans has talent. For older fans Verve Jazz Masters 5 will put a massive smile accross your face. Verve Jazz Masters 5 is an amazing album, racked with beauty.I love this album so much, i’ve been crazy about Bill Evans ever.
In Here’s That Rainy Day it becomes nowhere more obvious that Bill Evans has yet to define own style. Just You, Just Me (2:37) a good melody. Once Sleepin’ Bee gets in your head, it will NEVER leave. Let’s Go Back to the Waltz is one of these floating songs. Funkallero is the funkiest number on the album. This track is just a stunning masterpiece. Mother of Earl is the albums biggest surprise. Bemsha Swing is filled with very deep emotions that will truly touch your heart. Bill Evans offers the kind of music here that makes you reflect on yourself. This track is nearly perfect if not perfect. On Green Dolphin Street is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. Quiet Now is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined.
