Bob Holroyd was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Bob Holroyd and Stages together. This eleven-song debut EP shows the promise that Bob Holroyd has. Lead single “Call To Prayer” and “Crusts Of Dust” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. This is the best album I have heard in a long time
Best song on the album, love it. Darwins Dream is one of the more up-tempo songs on Stages. Put A Collection Of Todays into car stereo for your highway driving I’ve found myself listening to A Brief Daydream back to back and back many times. Flight - This is a very lively song. This song is dynamic and dramatic. Gondwana is an underrated song: I like its lyrics and melody a lot. Waking The Spirits is cool and different song. Preying Mantra (6:25) Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs.
