The Complete Brownie Mcghee CD2 is an amazing album, racked with beauty.There is so much to love about Brownie Mcghee, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Brownie Mcghee energies, virtually a rebirth. If I may, I suggest “Key To My Door”. That one song is amazing!
Album opener Million Lonesome Women is a bright, upbeat ditty. I now have Ain’t No Tellin’ as one of my personal favorites. Try Me One More Time marked the continuation of Brownie Mcghee in style evolution. One of the songs that always stick in my mind is I Want To See Jesus because the melody in the chorus is so good. Done What My Lord Said is the first taste of the new album. I Want King Jesus presents the perfect mix of instruments on The Complete Brownie Mcghee CD2. What Will I Do (Without The Lord) - Okay, I just talked about depth. I loved Key To The Highway 70 #1 the first time I heard it. Get The Complete Brownie Mcghee CD2 and turn on Key To The Highway 70 #2 if you are going to sip your wine late at night. I Don’t Believe In Love motivates you to get up and do something to improve your life and the life of others. So Much Trouble is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. Nice and different song. Jealous Of My Woman is a fine track on any terms. Unfair Blues gives taste of what makes Brownie Mcghee special as a musician. When listening to Barbecue Any Old Time, it gives me such an energy rush it’s unbelievable. Workingman’s Blues is Brownie Mcghee’s best work in years. Brownie Mcghee breathes new life into the music in Sinful Disposition Woman. One of the more genuine-sounding songs is Back Home Blues. Put Deep Sea Diver into car stereo for your highway driving This is probably my favorite song on the album. Stidio Chatter has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. Brownie Mcghee has astounded me with this amazing track. The first time I listened to Swing, Soldier, Swing #2 I was struck by its excellent sound.
