After debuting at No. 1 last week, Buddy Guy’s album Slippin’ In falls to No. 2 with 454,000, a sales slide of 64%. This compilation contains all of the biggest hits by Buddy Guy. Buddy Guy had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. Another great offering from Buddy Guy.
Cities Need Help - This happy song is an ode to optimism and an anthem. Don’t Tell Me About The Blues is the song that really did it for me. This track is a fabulous selection of easy listening, suitable for any age, taste or occasion. The sound in Little Dab-A-Doo is really warm and Buddy Guy’s signature voice is still very much present. Some of the arrangements found on Slippin’ In are surprisingly edgy. Man Of Many Words - To me, this is the best song on the Slippin’ In. All of songs on Slippin’ In and have something to say letting alone Please Don’t Drive Me Away. This track is just fantastic from start to finish. Someone Else Is Steppin’ In (Slippin’ Out, Slippin’ In) is perfect. Buddy Guy breathes new life into the music in Trouble Blues.
