Black Orchid I just LOVE this mix! Los Bandidos is nothing but pure genius. Poinciana is one of my favorite songs by Cal Tjader and Eddie Palmieri. This is probably my favorite song on the album. Along Comes Mary is cool song though, very addictive. Guajira En Azul one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard. This song stands out greatly from the others. Musically Picadillo is superior to other tracks in El Sonido Nuevo: The New Soul Sound. Simply the finest work ever from this multi-talented singer. Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. On A Clear Day You Can See Forever has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. First time I heard El Sonido Nuevo was on radio driving in my car and sonically it just sounded amazing.Fuji is possibly the most mysterious and inexplicable track Cal Tjader and Eddie Palmieri ever produced.
