one years ago, Canadian brass briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Fugue for Tinhorns”. It’s natural for Canadian brass to take a stab at ‘I Got Rhythm’ considering her long-professed love for Gridlok. Self-described as Easy Listening with lots of words, Canadian brass comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. IT makes me wanna dance!
Fugue for Tinhorns (3:12) Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs. Memory is one of the most beautiful songs ever to grace my stereo. This track is a fabulous selection of easy listening, suitable for any age, taste or occasion. Best song on the album, love it. It’s a great pleasure to listen to Strike up the Band from the beginning to the end. In a Sentimental Mood-It Don’t Mean a Thing If (It Ain’t Got That Swing…) I just LOVE this mix! This track makes my mind whirl and vibrate with flowing energy. Music of the Night (Phantom of the Opera) is perfect. |titile| is the kind of record that makes you remember why music can be so addictive. Make our garden grow catches attention immediately, Lassus Trombone (1) has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. Entertainer Rag (Joplin) is the album’s biggest hit, I think. I can’t stop playing Wagner - Dance of the Apprentices. Girl with the Flaxen Hair - PrG‚lude for piano (Debussy) had me crying as I was able to relate so well.
