Delerium is an amazing album, racked with beauty.Capercaillie had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. After seeing Rann Na Mona, I had to have a good Capercaillie cd. Oh yes, this album gets Array out of Array
Waiting For The Wheel To Turm is possibly the best song Capercaillie has come up. Aodann Srath Bhain which is my favorite is a truly Capercaillie sounding song. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Delerium is Cape Breton Song. You Will Rise Again one of the best in my collection. The sound in Kenny MacDonald’s Jigs is really warm and Capercaillie’s signature voice is still very much present. Dean Saor An Spiorad is the more seemingly obscure song on Delerium that bear up best to repeated listening. Coisich, A Ruin gives taste of what makes Capercaillie special as a musician. In Dr. MacPhail’s Reel the light shines equally on lyrics, vocals and instrumentation. |titile| is the kind of record that makes you remember why music can be so addictive. Breisleach is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion. Islay Ranter’s Reels pretty much defines how I feel spiritually. Servant To The Slave is a song that will not reduce you to tears but leave you thinking long after Delerium have ended.
