Self-described as Dance with lots of words, Captain Hollywood Project comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. The Afterparty isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. It’s natural for Captain Hollywood Project to take a stab at ‘Intro’ considering her long-professed love for U2. The Afterparty touched my soul like nothing else.
Far Away is a cool song and it grows on you. What sets Over and Over apart is Captain Hollywood Project’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres. I find myself hearing bits of A Little Beat here and there throughout my waking hours. Waiting So Long is gorgeous song though, very addictive. Love and Pain one of the best in my collection. One of the more genuine-sounding songs is All The Tears. I Can’t Stand It - A nice song. Strong, powerful vocals of Captain Hollywood Project in Up’n'down are very impressive. The song feels complete. Some of the arrangements found on The Afterparty are surprisingly edgy.
