Caravan’s debut, ‘The Battle Of Hastings’, does not fit easily into one genre. ‘The Battle Of Hastings’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. The Battle Of Hastings carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. Such great and happy songs.
This song is dynamic and dramatic. Musically Cold As Ice is superior to other tracks in The Battle Of Hastings. From the moment you listen to Liar you’re hooked. I like to sing along with Don’t Want Love, though I mess up the lyrics sometimes. Travelling Ways is almost impossible to review. This track is just a stunning masterpiece. In If It Wasn’t For Your Ego the music gets its power. Caravan rocks harder than ever with It’s Not Real. Wendy Wants Another 6” Mole make listening to Caravan like being in some sort of time warp. I Know Why You’re Laughing one is one of the better boring ones.
