This album has some very good songs like Ambrosia and Daughter of Light. There is no doubt that Carole King has talent. Lead single “Ambrosia” and “Daughter of Light” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. I wish that “Thoroughbred” album was instrumental.
This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor. This track is full of harmonies and gets Thoroughbred off to a relaxing start. So much energy, so exciting a sound.I’d Like to Know You Better as a highlight of Thoroughbred contains a ton of gorgeous melodies. Only Love Is Real is possibly the best song Carole King has come up. So Many Ways - Carole King first major hit. It’s a great pleasure to listen to There’s a Space Between Us from the beginning to the end. We All Have to Be Alone - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites. This is one of those songs that musicians strive to write and create.
