Since completing 1993’s ‘Stingaree’, Charlie Musselwhite fulfilled their contract with Mute Records and where under no obligation to release another album. While no new Charlie Musselwhite album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1993 tour in Africa. In My Time is an amazing album, racked with beauty. It is very deep stuff - very exciting
Brownsville Blues one is one of the better boring ones. I believe Ain’t It Time is one of the most perfect, heartfelt songs ever written. The Big Boat is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion. Charlie Musselwhite rocks harder than ever with Leaving Blues. I listened to the opening track When It Rains It Pours and liked it a lot. Casual Friend great lyrics, dark, deep, angry and cool.Once If I Should Have Bad Luck gets in your head, it will NEVER leave. Watson’s Excellent Adventure is possibly the most mysterious and inexplicable track Charlie Musselwhite ever produced. In this song fans will recognize the unique vocals of Charlie Musselwhite. Midnight Mama good vocals. I now have Hear Me Talkin’ as one of my personal favorites. Blues Who Do You Worry Me is one of those songs that will put you in a good mood. Vocals of Charlie Musselwhite in Movin’ and Groovin’ really capture me and are set perfectly to the rhythm. I loved Revelation the first time I heard it. Beside Of A Neighbor - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody.
