Live from Elario’s carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. It’s natural for Chick Corea Elektric Band to take a stab at ‘What Is It ?’ considering her long-professed love for Green Grey. Lead single “What Is It ?” and “Ginkakuji (Silver Temple)” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Ginkakuji (Silver Temple) is possibly the best song Chick Corea Elektric Band has come up. Mallorca motivates you to get up and do something to improve your life and the life of others. Marimbala is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. Simple and heartfelt closing track Malaguena closes Live from Elario’s on a high note. Tweek is a great opener for Live from Elario’s. Japanese Waltse is nothing but pure genius. Fusion Blues (Got a Match) I just LOVE this mix!
