Two’s Company isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. Jim Jones has compared writing for Chris Connor’s new album to that on ‘Two’s Company’ - but has declared the lyrics will be even more terrifying. There is no doubt that Chris Connor has talent. I greatly enjoyed this CD.
This song may be the most meaningful. Guess Who I Saw Today? - This one is what it is: a powerful, primal invitation to love. I Feel A Song Coming On on Two’s Company is solid and easy to listen to. Chris Connor is hitting on all cylinders in New York’s My Home. This track is a great song that still never gets old. Although Something’s Coming is very melodic it is far from sad. The Wind - I like this one. After you’ve listened to When The Sun Comes Out, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate. This track is nearly perfect if not perfect.
