It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Clan Of Xymox energies, virtually a rebirth. Since Clan Of Xymox last CD (Metamorphosis) on Virgin Records back in 1994, I have felt a massive void in my life. On Metamorphosis album, Clan Of Xymox have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. If I may, I suggest “Awakening”. That one song is amazing!
B Who U Wanna B is probably the most interesting track on Metamorphosis. I came to like Dream On. Love Me catches attention immediately, Revolve is a nice, innocuous song, and much better than anything Clan Of Xymox released so far. Sedated - This is a very lively song. The beautiful sound of this track makes you want to close your eyes and sway away with the music. I find myself hearing bits of XDD here and there throughout my waking hours. Real is a song to savor, to listen to from every angle.
