This disc has all of the essential Clarence ‘Gatemouth’ Brown classics. Since completing 1995’s ‘Honky Tonk’, Clarence ‘Gatemouth’ Brown fulfilled their contract with SixSteps records and where under no obligation to release another album. It has been two years Clarence ‘Gatemouth’ Brown’ last studio CD, “Man” which won Array Grammy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. Clarence ‘Gatemouth’ Brown is one of my favourite bands of all time.
This track is clearly meant to showcase Clarence ‘Gatemouth’ Brown’s vocal abilities. Although You Can Disagree is very melodic it is far from sad. This is the most melodic ambitious and satisfying track in Man. I Wonder - For me, this is the best of the album. Unchained Melody can be hardly overrated by any means; this is what Clarence ‘Gatemouth’ Brown is all about. Big Mammou is the best music that I have heard from anyone in any area of music. There You Are catches attention immediately, Solid Gold Plated Fool is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. Opening track Old Folks Cry A Lot More Than We Ll Ever Know shows the best of Clarence ‘Gatemouth’ Brown. Jambalaya - Well, here we get a bit more meaning. I listened to the opening track Someday My Luck Will Change and liked it a lot. I came to like Up Jumped The Devil.
