This is the first studio album from Classical - Various Artists since bad diagnosis in 1994. ‘Giustino’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. This disc has all of the essential Classical - Various Artists classics. IT makes me wanna dance!
Act I: Tema il nemico (Arianna) catches attention immediately, Act I: Viva Augusto eterno impero (Coro) - A nice song. So much energy, so exciting a sound.Although Act I: Vitaliano,il di cui Nom (Polidarte, Arianna, Anastasio) is very melodic it is far from sad. Act I: Un vostro sguardo (Anastasio) is a very catchy tune. |titile| is a sure sign of something most of us are experiencing, maturity. Act I: Da tuori begl’occhi impara (Arianna) is the first taste of the new album. Act I: Puo ben nascere tra Li Boschi (Giustino) is one of these floating songs. Act I: Ah! perche non poss’io (Giustino) is one of the best records ever. Act I: Bel ristoro de’mortali (Giustino) is probably the most interesting track on Giustino. Such hits like Act I: Corri, vola, a’tuoi Trofei / Giustin, lascia i riposi (Fortuna) will leave you hooked. Some call Act I: Corri, vola, a’tuoi Trofei (Coro della Fortuna) from Giustino as a quiet invitation of an artist to sit and listen. After about the third Act I: Chi mi chiama alla gloria? (Giustino) listen through, I began to believe this song is Classical - Various Artists’s essence. Act I: Se parla nel mio cor (Giustino) rocked my world when I popped it into my car stereo. Best song on the album, love it. I now have Act I: Sinfonia (Orchester) as one of my personal favorites. Act I: Oh! eterni Numi! (Leocasta, Giustino) is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. Act I: Nacque al bosco (Leocasta) is an incredible song that has everything it needs to be another favorite track. After you’ve listened to Act I: Amanzio! (Arianna, Amanzio), most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate. Get Giustino and turn on Act I: E Virture insin la frode (Amanzio) if you are going to sip your wine late at night. |titile| is quite refreshing and sets the tone for what is going on in Giustino. Act I: Allor ch’io forte avro (Giustino) - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. A great put together song. Put Act I: Non si vanti un’alma audace (Anastasio) into car stereo for your highway driving Act I: All’armi, o Guerrieri (Vitaliano) have really caught my ear and imagination. Act I: Signor, ti arrise il Fato (Polidarte, Vitaliano, Arianna) is a amazing, simple song by Classical - Various Artists at the top of his game. Act I: Vanne si, superba va (Vitaliano) is a song that definitely grows on you and becomes an album favorite. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on Giustino. In Act I: Mio dolce amato Sposo (Arianna) the music gets its power. Act II: Sinfonia (Orchester) is a bit of a show-tune. Act II: A Dispetto dell’Onde (Giustino, Anastasio) is a bit different from Classical - Various Artists stereotypical stuff. Act II: Questa e la cruda Spiaggia (Polidarte, Arianna) is a song to enjoy for years to come. Act II: Ritrosa belezza (Polidarte) is just a great song and one well worth taking the time to give it a good listen. Act II: Numi! che’l Ciel regette (Arianna, Giustino, Eco I & II) - This happy song is an ode to optimism and an anthem. Act II: Sinfonia (Orchester) had me crying as I was able to relate so well. Classical - Various Artists must have run out of lyrics on the next track Act II: Respiro (Arianna, Giustino, Anastasio). A fantastic track full of wonder. Act II: Ma quale orrido Mostro (Anastasio, Giustino, Arianna, Amanzio) is the albums lead single as well as biggest hit. Act II: Per Voi soave e bella (Coro) is one of the more up-tempo songs on Giustino. It’s a great pleasure to listen to Act II: Troppo fosti, o mio core (Vitaliano) from the beginning to the end. Act II: Ah! quai crudeli pene (Leocasta) is a fine track on any terms. I like the agression and power of Act II: Sventurata Navicella (Leocasta). Act II: Verdi Lauri, cingetemi il crine (Anastasio) is possibly the most mysterious and inexplicable track Classical - Various Artists ever produced. Act II: Vieni, barbaro (Giustino, Vitaliano, Anastasio, Amanzio) is another strong production from Classical - Various Artists. Act II: Sull’Altar di questo Nume (Giustino) can be hardly overrated by any means; this is what Classical - Various Artists is all about. Act II: Gia il valor di Giustino ha vinto (Arianna, Vitaliano) is perfect. From the moment you listen to Act II: Quel Torrente che s’innalza (Arianna) you’re hooked. Act III: Sinfonia (Orchester) is beautiful, yet underrated track. Classical - Various Artists sings Act III: Amici, tutto devo (Vitaliano) in such a comforting, confident voice that you can’t help but be moved. This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely. Act III: Signor’a'tuoi Trionfi (Amanzio, Anastasio) is a very catchy tune. This track is just a stunning masterpiece. Act III: Generoso Giustino (Arianna, Giustino, Amanzio) is the album’s biggest hit, I think. I find myself hearing bits of Act III: Zeffiretto, che scorre nel prato (Giustino) here and there throughout my waking hours. I’ve found myself listening to Act III: E fia ver, che infedele (Anastasio, Amanzio, Arianna, Giustino, Leocasta) back to back and back many times. Act III: Di Re sdegnato (Anastasio) is a medium tempo tune. Classical - Various Artists emotions are reflected through Act III: Qual’infernal veleno (Arianna, Leocasta). In Act III: Il mio cor gia piu non sa (Arianna) the light shines equally on lyrics, vocals and instrumentation. Act III: Giustino, anima mia! (Leocasta) - To me, this is the best song on the Giustino. Act III: Augeletti garruletti (Leocasta) - A classic Classical - Various Artists track. The opening track Act III: Riusci il bel disegno (Amanzio) is very much like you would expect from other albums. Act III: Dall’occaso in oriente (Amanzio) one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard. Act III: Fortuna, m’hai tradito! (Giustino) has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets Classical - Various Artists’s strong vocals come to the fore. Act III: Prima che splenda in oriente il sole (Vitaliano) is the albums biggest surprise. Some of the arrangements found on Giustino are surprisingly edgy. Overall a nice softer song. Act III: Sollevar’il mondo oppresso (Giustino) is marvelous song though, very addictive. Act III: Or che cinto ho il crin d’alloro (Amanzio) is just simply stunning. Act III: Qual marzial fragor? (Amanzio, Voci di Dentro, Arianna, Anastasio, Leocasta) is a perfect sing-along. Act III: Ola? Renditi as me! (Giustino, Arianna, Anastasio) - This one is what it is: a powerful, primal invitation to love. Act III: Ti rendo questo cor (Arianna) is one of the best records ever. Strong, powerful vocals of Classical - Various Artists in Act III: Signor, se vile intercessor (Giustino, Anastasio, Vitaliano) are very impressive. Opening track Act III: In braccio a te la calma (Arianna, Anastasio, Giustino, Leocasta, Vitaliano, Polidarte & Coro) shows the best of Classical - Various Artists.
