This sixteen-song debut EP shows the promise that Coil has. Unnatural History II isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. This album has some very good songs like Red Weather and Theme From The Blue I. I love this album so much, i’ve been crazy about Coil ever.
Theme From The Blue I is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion. |titile| is a sure sign of something most of us are experiencing, maturity. This track is just a stunning masterpiece. This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. It took me a little time but I ended up loving The Hellraiser Theme. In Memory Of The Truth make listening to Coil like being in some sort of time warp. Unquiet Rest is one of these floating songs. In Wait, Then Return the music gets its power. Simple and heartfelt closing track The Hellbound Heart closes Unnatural History II on a high note. You have to get essence of the The Box Theme’s power, to truly understand this masterpiece. No New World is a bit different from Coil stereotypical stuff. Vanishing Point is probably one of Coil’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. A fantastic track full of wonder. Theme From The Blue II is the song that really did it for me.
