This is the first studio album from Coptic Rain since bad diagnosis in 1993. Dies Irae isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. It has been two years Coptic Rain’ last studio CD, “Dies Irae” which won Array MTV Music Awards and was nominated for album of the year. Coptic Rain is one of my favourite bands of all time.
Once Have To Hate gets in your head, it will NEVER leave. Outcast as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature. Barefoot is a catchy, up-tempo track that has influence of music streams without leaning too much in that direction. Perfect Lie is nothing but pure genius. Celestial Purity is an upbeat song with a constant snare hit. Voice and instruments in T.T.I.D. complement each other. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on Dies Irae. Users is one of the best records ever. Dies Irae motivates you to get up and do something to improve your life and the life of others. Simple and heartfelt closing track The Sweetest Attack closes Dies Irae on a high note. In Lured Appeal full palet of sound is used by Coptic Rain to accentuate the presentation.
