This album has some very good songs like East Texas Blues and You Bring Me Up. Craig Erickson’s debut, ‘Two Sides of the Blues’, does not fit easily into one genre. Since completing 1995’s ‘East Texas Blues’, Craig Erickson fulfilled their contract with SixSteps records and where under no obligation to release another album. East Texas Blues and You Bring Me Up is really good.
There is amazing mix of music in You Bring Me Up. You Just Don T Know sets the tone for the entire album. Best song on the album, love it. Ego Tripper is exquisite work of Craig Erickson. As always, Craig Erickson’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again. From the sound of it, I believe the song can be a big radio hit. Wealthy Man is nothing but pure genius. Out Of Town motivates you to get up and do something to improve your life and the life of others. Natural Disaster is outstanding work of Craig Erickson. Beggar Or A King is one of the best records ever.
