I am not a real Avantgarde music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Koitlaransk and Ration Skalk’ really is amazing. This -song debut EP shows the promise that Cranioclast has. Since Cranioclast last CD (Koitlaransk and Ration Skalk) on Capitol Records back in 1994, I have felt a massive void in my life. Smart music for smart people.
In Finale Projektion the music gets its power. It’s also one of those rare songs that touchingly comfort the listener. Das Gift Des Toten Hundes the elegant and beautiful song on the album is hard to describe. This is probably my favorite song on the album. Mr.3 Im Versuchsgebiet - This happy song is an ode to optimism and an anthem. Machine Fellatio rocked my world when I popped it into my car stereo. This track is just a stunning masterpiece. Cranioclast sings his heart out in L’ete Et La Morte. All of songs on Koitlaransk and Ration Skalk and have something to say letting alone Schlamm Im Auge. Twilight Zone - A strong beat. The Coming Of The Helicopter presents the amazing mix of instruments on Koitlaransk and Ration Skalk. Das Fossile and Das Digitale is a bit different from Cranioclast stereotypical stuff. Eine Mumie Duscht In 12 Einstellungen is an upbeat song with a constant snare hit. Flugzeug Fressender Garten 1935 - Well, here we get a bit more meaning. Die Sprechende Wunde is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion. I listened to the opening track Flugzeug Fressender Garten 1936 and liked it a lot. It took me a little time but I ended up loving Sun Lamp Session For The Troops. One of the more genuine-sounding songs is A Few Final Seconds He Heard The Machine Voice In His Bones. I have all of Cranioclast’s tracks and Sie Liebte Den Geruch Von Stauf, Auf Den Die Ersten Grossen Regentropfen Eines Sommergewitters Gefallen Waren is probably the most his introspective effort. This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor. Sacred-Mobile-Dummy Goes On Pilgrimage is the funkiest number on the album. Cranioclast rocks harder than ever with 20.7.1969-23 Degrees 29′ E.Lon.-0 Degrees40′ N.Lat. Our Coming Out - To me, this is the best song on the Koitlaransk and Ration Skalk. Opening track His Hair In The Sand shows the best of Cranioclast. From the moment you listen to The Poison Of The Dead Dog you’re hooked. Naingak! is a striking and quite long song. Cranioclast emotions are reflected through Einkleidung Der Braut. This song could easily nestle itself onto the world top playlists. I can’t stop playing Versteinerte Rufe Des Ikarus. Although Final Marriage On The Boulevard is very melodic it is far from sad. The Digital Mummy Chuckles - is a breath or fresh air compared to many previous songs of Cranioclast. This is one of those songs that musicians strive to write and create.
