Lead single “True Blue Love” and “Blue Temptation” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Blue One is the best essence of Dana Gillespie.
Blue Temptation (4:20) Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs. In Once In A Blue Moon Dana Gillespie is at his best. Scream Blue Murder is filled with very deep emotions that will truly touch your heart. Blew our minds when we first heard Blues Line. Full Circle Blues has a fun tempo. Blue Moves one of the best in my collection. It’s such an underrated song. This is the most melodic ambitious and satisfying track in Blue One. I find myself hearing bits of Blues Is All I Ever Knew here and there throughout my waking hours. Blue Country is the albums biggest surprise. Blue Lights is a song that definitely grows on you and becomes an album favorite. Dana Gillespie is hitting on all cylinders in Big Daddy Blues. Where Blues Begins is a medium tempo tune.
