There is so much to love about Dana Gillespie, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Since completing 1996’s ‘Lovin’ Machine’, Dana Gillespie fulfilled their contract with SixSteps records and where under no obligation to release another album. This compilation contains all of the biggest hits by Dana Gillespie. I love this album so much, i’ve been crazy about Dana Gillespie ever.
Excellent vocals and musical performances. In Easy Does It it becomes nowhere more obvious that Dana Gillespie has yet to define own style. This track is clearly meant to showcase Dana Gillespie’s vocal abilities. I can’t stop humming along Raise A Little Hell. This track is a fabulous selection of easy listening, suitable for any age, taste or occasion. This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely. Dana Gillespie offers the kind of music here that makes you reflect on yourself. Within the first few notes of Too Many Drivers it’s perfectly clear that Dana Gillespie is living this song. Sailor’s Delight is a marvelous song and it grows on you. Built For Comfort is probably the highlight of the album. What sets Fat Meat Is Good Meat apart is Dana Gillespie’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres. The sound of Hot Stuff is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created. Tall Skinny Papa is a great opener for Hot Stuff. Charming song, great melody. There is cool mix of music in Spoonful. Diggin’ My Potatoes - To me, this is the best song on the Hot Stuff. Album opener Mainline Baby is a bright, upbeat ditty. Pint Size Papa sets the tone for the entire album. Horizontal Boogie is the best music that I have heard from anyone in any area of music.
