Dead Can Dance is one of artists that allow his songs like Mesmerism to stand on their own and be heard. In Ullyses Dead Can Dance is at his best. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with Saltarelo. The writing of the father hand make listening to Dead Can Dance like being in some sort of time warp. Enigma of the absolute actually sounds so joyous, that you can practically see a smile on Dead Can Dance’s face. Opening track Cantara shows the best of Dead Can Dance. Nierika is the album’s biggest hit, I think. I like to sing along with The ubiquitous mr.Lovergrove, though I mess up the lyrics sometimes. Simply the finest work ever from this multi-talented singer. Dedicace ‘Duto’ is simple, dignified and effective, Dead Can Dance refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. Bird is probably one of Dead Can Dance’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. A unique and uplifting song. Ariadne is a marvelous, simple song by Dead Can Dance at the top of his game. Spirit is nothing but pure genius. This track makes my mind whirl and vibrate with flowing energy. In this song fans will recognize the unique vocals of Dead Can Dance.
