Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Deep Forest on ‘Deep Forest’. After seeing Deep Forest, I had to have a good Deep Forest cd. On World Mix album, Deep Forest have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. Deep Forest is one of my favourite bands of all time.
Sweet Lullaby marked the continuation of Deep Forest in style evolution. Hunting is worth the money. The opening track Night Bird is very much like you would expect from other albums. The First Twilight is the exquisite blend of moody yet optimistic tunes. Savana Dance - This one makes me want to not only sing along. This song is like perfectly aged vintage bordeaux wine not a tequila shot. One of the more genuine-sounding songs is White Whisper. The Second Twilight gives taste of what makes Deep Forest special as a musician. Deep Forest offers the kind of music here that makes you reflect on yourself. Sweet Lullaby (around The World Mix) is absolutely incredible. Deep Forest is one of artists that allow his songs like Sweet Lullaby (apollo Album Mix) to stand on their own and be heard. Deep Forest (sunrise At Alcatraz) is simply exquisite. Forest Hymn (apollo Mix) gives good insight into the truths.
