While no new Devakant album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1996 tour in Asia. There is no doubt that Devakant has talent. On The Narrow Road to the Deep Interior album, Devakant have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. Cool, but I like their other actual stuff better like The Narrow Road to the Deep Interior.
The song feels complete. Love Beyond Love is one of my favorite songs by Devakant. The Mountain Moving is nothing but pure genius. After the Sound… has to be one of the most beautiful tracks on the entire album. The Willow Spirit as a highlight of The Narrow Road to the Deep Interior contains a ton of marvelous melodies. Lady Tamamo is one of those songs that will put you in a good mood. Overall a nice softer song. Time is a Traveler - This is a very lively song. It’s so catchy, it’s amazing. Nowhere to Go, No-one to Be is a gorgeous song and it grows on you. Charming song, great melody. Devakant allows each song to breathe and flourish. Tower of the Spirit - I like this one. In Waters of Life full palet of sound is used by Devakant to accentuate the presentation.
