After seeing Our Love Is Here To Stay, I had to have a good Dexter Gordon cd. This disc has all of the essential Dexter Gordon classics. On the Singapore charts, superstar Dexter Gordon’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. I love this album so much, i’ve been crazy about Dexter Gordon ever.
Broadway is worth the money. This track is just a stunning masterpiece. A fantastic track full of wonder. Willow Weep For Me defines beauty, yet is as unforgiving as an astringent stone. Scrapple From The Apple is probably the highlight of the album. Get Blue Note (CD4) and turn on Coppin’ The Haven if you are going to sip your wine late at night. Dexter Gordon offers the kind of music here that makes you reflect on yourself. It All Began… (Monologue By Dexter Gordon) - another great track from the Blue Note (CD4) album.
