‘Electric Byrd’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. Electric Byrd isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. This compilation contains all of the biggest hits by Donald Byrd. If I may, I suggest “Estavanico”. That one song is amazing!
This is the kind of song I think of when I think of Donald Byrd. In Xibaba the light shines equally on lyrics, vocals and instrumentation. The song The Dude ending is my favorite… so catchy!
