On Back ‘N The Day album, Dr. Dre have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. This is one of the best Cd’s Dr. Dre has dropped to date. After seeing Funky Chicken, I had to have a good Dr. Dre cd. Dr. Dre “Back ‘N The Day” is an amazing album.
Album opener Cabbage Patch (re-mix) is a bright, upbeat ditty. A unique and uplifting song. Gang-Bang (re-mix) is kind of track that compels you to skip back and drink it in one more time before moving on through Back ‘N The Day. Turn Off The Lights (re-mix) has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. Horny Computer (re-mix) have really caught my ear and imagination. Sweat (re-mix) is the albums lead single as well as biggest hit. Housecalls (re-mix) is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses. Blew our minds when we first heard Lovers (re-mix). This is one of those songs that musicians strive to write and create. World Class is possibly the most mysterious and inexplicable track Dr. Dre ever produced. Dr. Dre is hitting on all cylinders in Gang-Bang. Musically Horny Computer is superior to other tracks in Back ‘N The Day. Dr. Dre rocks harder than ever with Housecalls. Cache makes a person feel exquisite.
