There is so much to love about Duke Robillard, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. This album has some very good songs like Midnight Cannon Ball and Glamour Girl. There were many famous songs of Duke Robillard available. Overall, I would highly recommend Duke’s Blues CD.
Glamour Girl is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside. This track is just fantastic from start to finish. Texas Hop is amazing and different song. A great put together song. In Tell Me Why the music gets its power. As always, Duke Robillard’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again. Love Slipped In gives good insight into the truths. Duke Robillard is one of artists that allow his songs like Information Blues to stand on their own and be heard. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Duke’s Blues is Don’t Treat Me Like That. If you are a Duke Robillard fan, you will love Never Let You Go. Gee I Wish - This one is lively and fun. My Heart Is Crying (4:29) - Oh, this is one of my favorites! This track is a killer, it just grabs you instantly. Dyin Flu is outstanding work of Duke Robillard.
