After seeing Tische, I had to have a good Einsturzende Neubauten cd. Since completing 1996’s ‘Tische’, Einsturzende Neubauten fulfilled their contract with Sparrow Records and where under no obligation to release another album. This compilation contains all of the biggest hits by Einsturzende Neubauten. If you love Einsturzende Neubauten as much as I do, then Einsturzende Neubauten Faustmusik is the CD for you!
Monolog (Faust) has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets Einsturzende Neubauten’s strong vocals come to the fore. Besetzt (Margarethen) one of the best in my collection. This track is nearly perfect if not perfect. Burleske (Mephisto) can be hardly overrated by any means; this is what Einsturzende Neubauten is all about. Walpurgisnachtfestchen (Busho) is a pleasing, and full of overall coherence that goes beyond other creations. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with Das Orchestrion. Still Am Abend gets you up and jumping. This song is dynamic and dramatic.
