Since Electronic - Various Artists last CD (Planet Soul - Freestyle Vol. 1) on ForeFront Records back in 1996, I have felt a massive void in my life. ten years ago, Electronic - Various Artists briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Now That Its Over (Artie)”. Self-described as Electronic with lots of words, Electronic - Various Artists comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. If I may, I suggest “Tootsee Roll (69 Boyz)”. That one song is amazing!
Now That Its Over (Artie) - Okay, I just talked about depth. Dreams In The Night (Dario) - I just love it. Put Dont Stop The Rock (Freestyle) into car stereo for your highway driving The song Its Automatic (Freestyle) ending is my favorite… so catchy! This is the kind of song I think of when I think of Electronic - Various Artists. Mega Mix - 1. Fantasy Girl (Johnny O.) is a great song to contemplate the modern music and what it really is all about. Best song on the album, love it. Electronic - Various Artists allows each song to breathe and flourish. It’s also one of those rare songs that touchingly comfort the listener. Mega Mix - 5. The Musics Got Me (Johnny O.) is a marvelous song and it grows on you. This track is clearly meant to showcase Electronic - Various Artists’s vocal abilities. Shake Shake (Jonny Z.) is one of the more up-tempo songs on Planet Soul - Freestyle Vol. 1. Forgive Me (Jose Bohn) is probably the highlight of the album. LOve Cant Wait (Lil Suzy) is a very catchy tune. Simple and heartfelt closing track Set U Free (Planet Soul) closes Planet Soul - Freestyle Vol. 1 on a high note. Let The Music Play (Shannon) - A catchy, upbeat tune. Dreamin Of Love (Stevie B.) on Planet Soul - Freestyle Vol. 1 is solid and easy to listen to. Music of Funky Melody (Stevie B.) is gentle, never overbearing. Cry A Million Tears (Timmy T.) is exquisite and different song. Take Me In Your Arms (Tony Garcia) great lyrics, dark, deep, angry and cool.
