Sleepness Nights is possibly the most mysterious and inexplicable track Emmylou Harris ever produced. Emmylou Harris sings To Far Gone in such a comforting, confident voice that you can’t help but be moved. What sets If i could only win your love apart is Emmylou Harris’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres. Till I Gain Control Again was the first single release from the album Portraits (Disc 1). One Of These Days is a song to enjoy for years to come. |titile| is the kind of record that makes you remember why music can be so addictive. Here There and Everywhere is so unique, as each one of the songs is. Strong, powerful vocals of Emmylou Harris in You’re Still On My Mind are very impressive. Sweet Dreams is the albums biggest surprise. This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing. Making belive hits the heart. Pancho & Lefty which is my favorite is a truly Emmylou Harris sounding song. Two more Bottles of Wine has a fun tempo. You Never Can Tell (C’est La Vie) is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. Easy From Now On on Portraits (Disc 1) is solid and easy to listen to.
