On Jazz Masters 7 album, Erroll Garner have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. This disc has all of the essential Erroll Garner classics. There is so much to love about Erroll Garner, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. This album is awesome.
Misty is another favourite of mine. Smooth One is a fine track on any terms. Love in Bloom is a catchy, up-tempo track that has influence of music streams without leaning too much in that direction. Lyrics of (All of a Sudden) My Heart Sings are precise and evocative. I find myself hearing bits of Don’t be That Way here and there throughout my waking hours. 7/11 Jump catches attention immediately, Erroll Garner has astounded me with this amazing track. Don’t Worry ‘Bout Me is nothing but pure genius. Is You is or is You Ain’t My Baby is probably one of Erroll Garner’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. Part-Time Blues - I like this one. |titile| is a sure sign of something most of us are experiencing, maturity. Oh, Lady be Good is a cool sing-along. The first time I listened to Fandango I was struck by its amazing sound. It’s a great pleasure to listen to I’ve Got the World on a String from the beginning to the end.
