Fatboy Slim was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Fatboy Slim and Better Living Through Chemistr together. After seeing Song For Lindy, I had to have a good Fatboy Slim cd. On Better Living Through Chemistr album, Fatboy Slim have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. If I may, I suggest “Song For Lindy”. That one song is amazing!
Santa Cruz is a medium tempo tune. Going Out Of My Head has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets Fatboy Slim’s strong vocals come to the fore. Such hits like The Weekend Starts Here will leave you hooked. |titile| is the kind of record that makes you remember why music can be so addictive. Give The Po’Man A Break is the albums biggest surprise. 10th and Crenshaw still maintains something of a specific flourish. First Down is perfect. In Punk To Funk full palet of sound is used by Fatboy Slim to accentuate the presentation. This song may be the most meaningful. Michael Jackson gives taste of what makes Fatboy Slim special as a musician. This song is dynamic and dramatic.
