Since completing 1994’s ‘Old codes’, Fila Brazillia fulfilled their contract with Sparrow Records and where under no obligation to release another album. After seeing Old codes, I had to have a good Fila Brazillia cd. Old Codes New Chaos carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. This album is a scorcher!
Mermaids is absolutely incredible. Musically Whose Money is superior to other tracks in Old Codes New Chaos. Brazilification without a doubt is the standout song of Old Codes New Chaos. Serratia Marcescens is the album’s biggest hit, I think. Once The Sheriff gets in your head, it will NEVER leave. Feinman is just simply stunning. The Light of Jesus is probably the most interesting track on Old Codes New Chaos. Strange Thoughts is the song that really did it for me. Fila Funk - a classic song. In Pots & Pans the music gets its power. New Chaos is a marvelous song and it grows on you.
