It’s a brave and brilliant refocusing of Fiorella Mannoia energies, virtually a rebirth. five years ago, Fiorella Mannoia briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Notti Di Maggio”. Fiorella Mannoia was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Fiorella Mannoia and Le Canzoni together. Smart music for smart people.
This track is just fantastic from start to finish. One of the more genuine-sounding songs is I Dubbi Dell’amore. Oh Che Sar - I like this one. Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. What sets Ascolta l’Infinito apart is Fiorella Mannoia’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres. Lunaspina is a bit different from Fiorella Mannoia stereotypical stuff. Il Cielo d’Irlanda is worth the money. Get Le Canzoni and turn on Quello Che le Donne Non Dicono if you are going to sip your wine late at night. It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: Come Si Cambia, which shows, blatantly, how much Fiorella Mannoia has evolved as a singer. Sorvolando Eilat is one of the best records ever. I Treni a Vapore - To me, this is the best song on the Le Canzoni. Gli Amanti is Fiorella Mannoia’s best work in years. I like to sing along with I Venti del Cuore, though I mess up the lyrics sometimes. I like Poverangelo because it’s extremely catchy and has awesome drumming.
