three years ago, Fire and Ice briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Fokstua Hall”. This compilation contains all of the biggest hits by Fire and Ice. On Midwinter Fires album, Fire and Ice have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. IT makes me wanna dance!
Fokstua Hall is probably the most interesting track on Midwinter Fires. This track is clearly meant to showcase Fire and Ice’s vocal abilities. Olofaet - My least favorite song on this album. Wisdom, Strengo, Ellen, Bliss is nothing but pure genius. I hope to keep hearing Fire and Ice works for a long time to come. This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely. Midwinter Fires is the song that really did it for me. I can’t stop humming along The Wind That Shakes The Barle. Aceldama motivates you to get up and do something to improve your life and the life of others. Album opener Senlac is a bright, upbeat ditty. You have to get essence of the The Cause’s power, to truly understand this masterpiece.
